Why It's On Our Shelf

This is one of those books that grows with your child. This is also one of those books that they may credit, as I do, with igniting a spark of imagination that carried into adulthood. Early on, the pictures do most of the work. Over time, the language starts to land more deeply. Reading it together opens space to talk about emotions and imagination. It is powerful without being overwhelming. A lifelong favorite of mine.
